When it comes to tankless, either a Rinnai or Navien are the preferred choice. The reasons behind these choices are based on several factors, including experience, feedback, and communication with the companies themselves. While it’s very true, “they don’t make em like they used to”, you should still get between 8 and 12 years from a tank style water heater. You should expect a longer life from a tankless and depending on the installation, and usage, you can get up to and over 20 years.
